MOUNTAIN FLYING SEMINAR

Outline GENERAL

• 7 hours, two days seminar in Class and Online,

 • Extensive course emphasizes the best ways to fly in the mountains and the contingencies you must plan for. This course will emphasize summer operations.

• Will help prepare you to plan for and fly in many conditions.

• Theoretical content, taught by a fellow pilot with 40 years of mountain flying experience, backed up by tried and true methods of flying in some of the most challenging places in the world.

• Discussion of pertinent accidents and incidents and how to avoid them.

• Recommended for all pilots who wish to try their hand at mountain flying.

• Safest Routes, Fastest Routes, VFR Routes • Contingencies, Be prepared, Time of the Day, Freezing Level

• Use of Dead Reckoning, Use of GPS, Foreflight/FltPlan Go/Garmin Pilot

• Departures and Arrivals

• Mountain Airports, contaminated runways, King Air in Valemont
